The Judicial Education gains momentum while there is stress laid on knowledge in substantive and Procedural Law and Judges should be trained on knowledge in law, skill, attitude and ethics beside other matters including Information Technology for comprehensive capacity building.
As stated above, Orissa judicial Academy is now housed in old building of Board of Revenue adjoining High Court of Orissa. It is a heritage building of the State Government. In the present building, there are two Conference Hall i.e., ground floor Conference Hall and 1st floor Conference Hall.
Hon’ble the Chief Justice is the Patron-in-Chief of this Academy. It is under the administrative control of the Judicial Academy & Training Committee duly constituted by Hon’ble the Chief Justice of Orissa. Academy is one of the Heads of Department under the Home Department of State Government of State Government having independent budget provision.
